The closure of the US Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General in Lagos has been announced following the death of Jimmy Carter, former US President.
The announcement was made on Wednesday evening by the US Mission to Nigeria via a statement posted on its X account.
The temporary closure is in honour of the former American leader who passed away at age 100 on December 29, 2024.
