Defections hit PDP, LP as APC takes majority lead in Edo Assembly

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State took the majority lead in the State House of Assembly on Wednesday following the defection of three lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and one from the Labour Party (LP) to the APC.

With this development, the APC now holds 13 seats in the Edo State House of Assembly, while the PDP has 11 members.
