Atiku resigns from PDP

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has formally resigned his membership of the opposition party.

Atiku’s decision comes in the build-up to the 2027 general election, following his involvement in the formation of a new coalition party, the Alliance Democratic Congress.
